Torrontés is a white grape variety native to Argentina, known for producing aromatic and distinctive wines.
Of the different regions in Argentina, Mendoza is probably the most important for Torrontés production. A fine example is this white wine proposed by Alamos, 100% Torrontés di Mendoza, vinified and aged exclusively in steel. A wine characterized by intense, floral aromas, the nose is surprising for the breadth of its bouquet, which includes white flowers, jasmine, rose and orange blossom. To these are added notes of exotic fruit, peach, apricot, lychee and citrus. And it is this combination of aromas that makes the wine so inviting. In the mouth, however, it is characterized by an acidity balanced by the sweetness of the fruit. This acidity lends freshness to the wine, making it extremely versatile. Medium body and silky texture. Although a wine "moderately" suited to ageing, this Torrontés plays everything on freshness, which is why it should be drunk young. Perfect as an aperitif, this Argentinian white is a perfect companion for fish dishes. Excellent with the classic grilled fish or to accompany a large baked fish. Ideal with salmon.Alc.: 13%
